Thank you for comming to our On-Line Image Bank You can view the artists and their art in several ways. On our navigation bar you will see two drop down menus. The first is sorted by the BWAC shows the artists have been in.  All Shows is every image in this system Solo/Sample is one image from every artist that has selected one piece as being representative of their work The second is sorted by a number of ways: (last name, first name, medium, type of art etc.) This second drop down menu offers a larger selection of artists and their work; as members and non members can have their work here.  If you know the artist you wish to see, using this method is the fastest, as you can narrow your search. (Same is true if you want to view artists using a specific medium)   If using “Sort by Shows”: Click the arrow on the first menu on the navigation bar under the BWAC Logo: Here you can choose to view the works of the artists by specific show (Pier 10, Small Works 2001) or by Artist Collection (up to twenty pieces not seen in BWAC shows). We have added a new listing: “Solo/Sample” Here you can view one (1) individual work by each artist to Preview, before proceeding on. Click on the thumbnail and it will enlarge to full size. You can then use your scroll bar on the bottom or click next artist on top right corner to see the next image. By clicking on the show or their Artist Collection, you will always first come to a screen with the alphabet across the top. Using this menu will bring all the artists from each show or all artists having images in Artist Collection up in alphabetical order.   If using “Sort By”: Clicking on either box will bring you to a screen with the alphabet across the top. If you have chosen this menu you can chose by selecting what you want to see by specific artists and what they use to produce their art.  If choosing artists last name, click on the initial of the artist’s last name and all the artists with a last name with that initial will come up in the form of thumbnails. Use your scroll bar on the right to see all the artists with the same last name, first initial. Other ways you can sort is by artist’s first name, medium, etc. You can also choose a specific medium (sculpture, painting, printmaking, photography, etc). You can use both selection boxes to narrow down your search.   To find out more about an artist: To find out about the artist and their work, Click directly on the name of the artist which appears above the images (or the one next to the title). This will give you information such as; his/her Artist statement or Exhibition Resume. You could also find out the artist URL or email address.
